Letters written by Annie Young Owens Annie Young Owens, daughter of Nicholas Augustus Young and Wilhelmina Schreiner, was born and raised in the Eagle Point area of Jackson County, Oregon. She is the neice of Nicholas Young and Mahala Carter Young. Annie corresponded with her cousins Estella Young Carwile and Maggie Young Duncan, daughters of Nicholas and Mahala, who lived in Osage and Gasconade Counties, Missouri. After Annie's husband James died in Dec. 1935, Annie sent his obituary to her cousins in Missouri. Only part of the obituary that Annie sent was preserved. However, I was able to order the entire obituary (obit page 1, obit page 2). Letter April 04, 1936 page 1 (contains partial obit) Letter Christmas 1941 Note: The April 04 letter does not give a year, but Annie's husband James died in Dec. 1935. The letter was written the following April (1936).
